How should I choose one? I am torn between note-making on Evernote and making notes offline, on paper. The resource is in a PDF format. It's convenient to write on paper. I can make tables and arrows my way, but it’s very time-saving on Evernote.

Hi. There's no 'easy' way to hive off part of a note. The best way (IMHO) is to copy the original note so you have two (or more) versions of the same information, then alter the title of each and delete some of the content, so that each version has its own unique content. It's also possible to create a new blank note and cut/ paste some of the content of the original into that, but sometimes cutting and pasting changes the formatting of the content and you get 'variable' results. If you start with everything and just delete from there, at least you can 'undo' a delete is anything goes sadly wrong!

Some of us are very obsessive. As mentioned above, it's generally a good idea to create a separate blank note per page, then just start inserting your content at the bottom, as if you were putting in a list of words, for example. Some have said to me: 'I thought I knew better!!', but I suggest reading on to see who I am talking about, before you shout at me and/or call me dumb. If you have a 'hard copy' of your book, it is probably best to transfer all the pages from that, into one blank note. I'd also advise you to make copies of all the content for your 'hard copy', and then edit 'them' into the same note. Make each page of the 'hard copy', then edit them to the same level.
