After converting a PDF to a Pages file, why can't I edit it easily? I got to double click on the text to begin writing in it, otherwise the text is like in a box I can move in the entire page. I want to be able to have it like a normal text

It sounds like when you converted it, you may have converted it into a graphic, and not into a pages document. So you brought in a graphic file (PNG, JPG, etc) into pages. Or you are not familiar with page layout applications, because you could be dragging the entire page layout text box?

PDF documents can be cumbersome to edit, especially when you need to change the text or sign a form. However, working with PDFs is made beyond-easy and highly productive with the right tool.

How to Write On PDF with minimal effort on your side:

  1. Add the document you want to edit — choose any convenient way to do so.
  2. Type, replace, or delete text anywhere in your PDF.
  3. Improve your text’s clarity by annotating it: add sticky notes, comments, or text blogs; black out or highlight the text.
  4. Add fillable fields (name, date, signature, formulas, etc.) to collect information or signatures from the receiving parties quickly.
  5. Assign each field to a specific recipient and set the filling order as you Write On PDF.

Write on PDF: All You Need to Know

I have a copy of Pages, and I would use it. What page layout software was the document created in? Because you were converting a graphic file to a graphic file, and not vice versa, it is possible an earlier version of that application exists in a format that is not yet supported on the current version of the application.   For example, the graphic file you converted to the PDF that is displayed on your screen, may have a different file format than the font file being loaded into that application. I'm having the same problem. I was on a website that supported the file that was being uploaded, and it would be showing as page 10 on my screen. If you don't have a graphic converter, or a graphics editor, use the page layout tools in Pages to change the file (to, say: pages.jpeg) to the file format you are.
